Job Purpose:
To deliver high-quality instruction in power mechanics, equipping learners with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in line with the curriculum and institutional standards, while fostering innovation, discipline, and career readiness.
Prepare and deliver engaging lessons in Power Mechanics as per the approved curriculum.
Provide hands-on demonstrations and practical training in areas such as engines, transmission systems, hydraulics, and power equipment.
Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments tailored to student needs.
Assess, evaluate, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.
Ensure the safe use of equipment, tools, and workshop facilities.
Mentor students on academic and career development within the technical field.
Maintain accurate records of student performance and departmental documentation.
Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum development and continuous improvement of training standards.
Uphold professional ethics, discipline, and compliance with Teachers Service Commission (TSC) regulations.
Diploma in Education (Technical) or Bachelor’s Degree in Power Mechanics / Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Must be a TSC registered teacher in good standing.
2–4 years of proven teaching experience in Power Mechanics or related technical subjects.
Demonstrated track record of effective teaching and student achievement.
Strong practical knowledge in mechanics, power systems, and technical workshop practices.
Excellent communication, mentorship, and classroom management skills.
Student performance and pass rates in examinations and assessments.
Effective integration of theory and practical skills in teaching.
Student engagement and satisfaction levels.
Safe and efficient management of workshop resources.
Contribution to curriculum development and institutional goals.
