Our client is a dynamic and growing Savings and Credit Cooperative Society offering Back Office Services (BOSA) to groups, chamas, and individual members. We exist to promote savings, provide affordable credit, and empower members through sustainable financial growth.
We are seeking a diligent and results-oriented Sacco Operations Officer to manage and coordinate day-to-day SACCO back office operations. The role involves ensuring smooth processing of member transactions, accurate record-keeping, compliance with regulatory standards, and efficient support to member groups and chamas.
Coordinate and manage all BOSA operations including savings, withdrawals, and loan processing.
Maintain accurate member records, ledgers, and loan registers.
Verify and post transactions in the SACCO management system.
Prepare periodic operational and financial reports.
Monitor loan performance and follow up on repayments in collaboration with the credit team.
Support the mobilization and training of member groups and chamas.
Ensure compliance with SACCO policies, Cooperative regulations, and SASRA guidelines.
Participate in the development and review of SACCO products and operational procedures.
Ensure safe custody of SACCO records and documents.
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Cooperative Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in SACCO or microfinance operations, specifically within a BOSA environment.
Good understanding of group and chama financial dynamics.
Proficiency in SACCO management software and MS Office applications.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
High level of integrity and attention to detail.
