Our client is seeking a proffesional and motivated Electricity Teacher to deliver both theoretical and practical instruction in electrical technology.The role also includes mentoring students, maintaining classroom discipline, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment.
Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in line with the Electricity Technology curriculum.
Provide practical training in electrical installation, wiring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Ensure learners acquire knowledge of electrical safety standards, codes, and regulations.
Assess, monitor, and report student performance through tests, assignments, and practical evaluations.
Supervise hands-on workshop projects and ensure safe handling of tools, materials, and equipment.
Prepare students for internal and external examinations and certifications.
Integrate new technologies and industry practices in teaching.
Guide students in career development and vocational opportunities in the electrical industry.
Maintain workshop resources, ensuring equipment is safe, functional, and up to date.
Collaborate with colleagues in planning, curriculum review, and co-curricular technical projects.
Qualifications & Requirements
Registration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
Strong knowledge of electrical theory, installation, and safety standards.
Practical workshop and industry experience in electricity or electrical systems.
Proficiency in instructional and classroom management skills.
Commitment to student learning, mentoring, and skills development.
Ability to explain technical concepts in simple, practical terms.
Strong demonstration and hands-on skills in electricity/electrical work.
Excellent organizational and safety management skills.
Professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to vocational excellence.
Team player with collaborative and problem-solving abilities
Curriculum Delivery – 100% syllabus coverage within the academic year.
Student Competency – At least 75% of students attain proficiency in electrical theory and practical assessments.
Workshop Safety & Management – Maintain zero major accidents and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Practical Projects – Completion of electrical installation projects.
Exam Performance – Achieve above national average results in technical exams.
Industry Readiness – Evidence of student transition into vocational training, apprenticeships, or entry-level jobs in the electrical field.
Equipment Maintenance – Ensure tools, machines, and electrical lab resources are functional and well-maintained.
Professional Growth – Participation in at least one technical/educational workshop annually.
