Job Title: Transport Manager
Reports To:Administrator

Purpose of the Role

To oversee and manage the school’s transport system, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient transportation of students and staff in compliance with Ministry of Education and traffic safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily school transport operations.
• Develop and enforce transport policies aligned with school safety standards.
• Supervise drivers and transport staff, ensuring compliance with schedules and conduct.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance, insurance, and licensing.
• Maintain accurate transport records (routes, fuel, repairs, student registers).
• Liaise with parents and school administration on transport matters.
• Conduct safety drills and enforce child protection measures during transit.
• Prepare transport budgets and manage cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Transport Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in fleet/transport management, preferably in education.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan traffic laws and Ministry of Education guidelines.
• Leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
