PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The waiters are responsible for taking orders and serving food and beverages to guests. They play an important role in guest satisfaction as they are also responsible for checking on customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide excellent customer services.
• Always strive towards best customer satisfaction.
• Greet customers and present menus.
• Make suggestions based on their preferences.
• Take and serve food/drinks orders.
• Arrange table settings.
• Keep table’s clean and tidy at all times.
• Deliver checks and collect payments.
• Cooperate and communicate with all serving and kitchen staff.
• Make menu recommendations and inform patrons of any specials.
                      Qualifications
• Diploma / Certificate in Hospitality Management.
• At least one-year experience as a food server within a busy high-end restaurant, hotel, or conference center operation.
• Must have clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to consolidate and coordinate needs for all tables within their station.
• Ability to remain calm and professional with difficult customers.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, with a good sense of humor.
