The SACCO Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily SACCO operations, supervising staff, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and supporting management in achieving operational efficiency, service quality, and financial sustainability
Supervise and coordinate daily SACCO operations and staff activities.
Ensure proper implementation of SACCO policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Oversee member services including account opening, savings, loans, and withdrawals.
Supervise loan processing, appraisal, disbursement, and recovery activities.
Monitor loan portfolio performance and ensure timely follow-up on arrears.
Prepare and review operational, credit, and performance reports for management.
Support budgeting, planning, and performance tracking for SACCO operations.
Ensure compliance with SASRA regulations, Cooperative Societies Act, and internal policies.
Handle member complaints and ensure high standards of customer service.
Train, mentor, and appraise SACCO staff and field officers.
Conduct routine checks to prevent fraud, errors, and operational risks.
Support audits (internal and external) and implement audit recommendations.
Assist management in implementing strategic initiatives and new SACCO products.
Ensure proper record keeping, data accuracy, and system integrity.
Qualifications and Experience
Certificate or Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Cooperative Management, or a related field
At least 3–5 years’ experience in SACCO or microfinance operations
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is an added advantage
Good understanding of SASRA regulations and SACCO operations
