Job Summary
The Field Officer will be responsible for mobilizing members, managing group and individual loans, conducting field assessments, monitoring repayments, and maintaining strong relationships with SACCO members to ensure portfolio growth and loan performance.
Mobilize new SACCO members and promote SACCO products and services.
Recruit, train, and manage member groups (where applicable).
Receive, assess, and process loan applications from members.
Conduct field visits for member verification, business appraisal, and credit assessment.
Monitor loan utilization to ensure funds are used for the intended purpose.
Follow up on loan repayments and manage delinquent accounts.
Conduct debt recovery and arrears follow-ups in line with SACCO policies.
Maintain accurate member and loan records and submit timely field reports.
Educate members on financial literacy, savings culture, and loan management.
Identify risks in the loan portfolio and report early warning signs to management.
Support collection of savings, shares, and other SACCO contributions where required.
Ensure compliance with SACCO policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Diploma or Certificate in Business, Finance, Economics, Cooperative Management, or a related field
Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in microfinance, SACCOs, or field credit operations (is an added advantage)
Knowledge of group lending methodologies and credit management
Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, basic systems)
