Our client, a well-established learning institution, is seeking to recruit a Finance Manager to oversee financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide strategic financial guidance to support the institution’s growth and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the institution’s accounting and finance functions.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports.

• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including taxation, payroll, and audit regulations.

• Develop and monitor financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.

• Advise management on cost efficiency, investment, and financial planning strategies.

• Supervise finance and accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting.

• Liaise with auditors, bankers, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.

• Support decision-making by providing financial insights and recommendations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.

• CPA (K) or ACCA qualification is required.

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in financial management, preferably within an educational or service institution.

• Proven experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and audit preparation.

• Strong understanding of Kenyan tax laws and compliance requirements.

• Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems).

Added Advantage

• Experience working in a school or learning institution.

• Membership in a professional body such as ICPAK.
