Our client, a well-established learning institution, is seeking to recruit a Finance Manager to oversee financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide strategic financial guidance to support the institution’s growth and sustainability.
Oversee and manage the institution’s accounting and finance functions.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including taxation, payroll, and audit regulations.
Develop and monitor financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Advise management on cost efficiency, investment, and financial planning strategies.
Supervise finance and accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting.
Liaise with auditors, bankers, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
Support decision-making by providing financial insights and recommendations.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
CPA (K) or ACCA qualification is required.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in financial management, preferably within an educational or service institution.
Proven experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and audit preparation.
Strong understanding of Kenyan tax laws and compliance requirements.
Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems).
Experience working in a school or learning institution.
Membership in a professional body such as ICPAK.
