Position Overview
The Truck/Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods to designated locations. This role ensures customer satisfaction through professional conduct, adherence to traffic laws, and proper handling of cargo.
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle Operation: Safely drive company trucks or delivery vehicles to transport goods.
- Delivery Management: Load, secure, and unload cargo at customer or warehouse locations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate delivery records, invoices, and proof of delivery.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine checks (fuel, oil, tires, brakes) and report mechanical issues promptly.
- Compliance: Adhere to traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Customer Service: Interact courteously with clients and represent the company professionally.
Qualifications.
- Valid driver’s license with appropriate class for trucks.
- Clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in delivery or truck driving.
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is an added advantage.
