Position Overview

The Mathematics/Business Studies Teacher will facilitate learner-centered instruction that equips students with analytical, entrepreneurial, and problem-solving skills. The role emphasizes practical application of knowledge, competency development, and holistic growth as outlined in CBC.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Implementation: Deliver Mathematics and Business Studies lessons in line with CBC guidelines.

• Competency Development: Nurture critical thinking, financial literacy, creativity, and collaboration among learners.

• Assessment: Design and administer competency-based assessments, portfolios, and projects.

• Practical Application: Integrate real-life business scenarios, case studies, and mathematical problem-solving into lessons.

• Learner Support: Provide mentorship, remedial support, and career guidance.

• Record Keeping: Maintain learner progress records, assessment data, and reports.

• Collaboration: Work with colleagues, parents, and the community to support holistic learner development.

• Professional Growth: Engage in continuous training and stay updated on CBC methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) specializing in Mathematics and Business Studies, or equivalent.

• Training in CBC pedagogy and assessment strategies.

• Registration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).

• Strong communication, mentorship, and classroom management skills.
